Choosing a decorative wall light that genuinely contributes to the atmosphere of a room — rather than just filling a space — is harder than it looks. Too sharp and it becomes a glare point. Too opaque and the warmth disappears entirely. The Saldana is designed specifically to avoid both problems.

For ambient wall lighting, the quality of diffusion matters as much as the light source itself. A layered shade system — one that works through multiple materials — scatters light more evenly and creates depth, rather than a flat wash from a single surface. The result is a softer, more considered ambience that feels deliberate rather than accidental.

The Elstead Saldana LED Decorative Wall Light achieves this through a nested dual-shade arrangement: an inner cylinder of satin-etched opal glass sits within an outer cylinder of sheer organza fabric. When lit, the organza shimmers, giving the fixture what Elstead describe as a glowing, celestial quality. The Classic Pewter finish — a cool-toned brushed metallic — ties the arms and metal rings together with understated precision.

A circular wall-mounting canopy connects to a short horizontal arm, which supports the vertically oriented shade assembly. A small decorative finial at the base anchors the structure and completes the form. The Classic Pewter finish runs consistently across all metal components, giving the piece a cohesive, refined appearance suited to residential living spaces, boutique hospitality settings, and premium commercial interiors.

The Saldana is hardwired directly to the wall surface — no plug-in option — so installation should be planned into your electrical first-fix. As an LED collection, lamp compatibility and driver requirements should be confirmed at the point of specification; contact Lightsource Mallorca for current lamp and dimming guidance specific to this range. Elstead offer a warranty of 2–20 years depending on model, which reflects the brand's confidence in long-term performance.

At Lightsource Mallorca, we work with ranges like the Saldana precisely because the specification detail is as considered as the design. We can help you confirm the right variant for your project, advise on installation constraints, and coordinate delivery to Mallorca — so what you see on screen is what arrives on site, on time.

FAQs

How does the dual-shade system affect the quality of light?

The Saldana uses two concentric cylinders — an inner satin-etched opal glass layer to diffuse the source, and an outer organza fabric layer to scatter and soften the light further. The result is a shimmering, ambient glow rather than a direct or harsh output.

Is the Saldana suitable for dimming?

Dimming compatibility depends on the specific lamp or LED module used and the dimmer type installed. Contact Lightsource Mallorca for guidance on compatible dimmers — getting this right at specification avoids frustrating flicker or drop-out issues on site.

How is the Saldana installed?

The Saldana is a hardwired wall sconce — it connects directly to a fixed electrical supply in the wall. There is no plug-in option, so the cable position needs to be planned before plastering or finishing walls. A qualified electrician should carry out the installation.

What finish is the Saldana available in?

The product is finished in Classic Pewter — a cool-toned, brushed metallic that runs consistently across the canopy, arm, and shade rings. Check with Lightsource Mallorca for any additional finish options within the wider Saldana range.

What warranty does the Elstead Saldana carry?

Elstead offer a warranty of 2 to 20 years depending on the specific model within the Saldana collection. We can confirm the applicable warranty for the exact variant you are specifying.
