The Elstead Penn Station is a ceiling pendant that answers these questions clearly. From Elstead Lighting, a British brand with decades of specification heritage, the Penn Station features a large inverted clear glass bowl suspended within a structured steel strap frame. The open bowl design allows light to distribute freely and without obstruction, creating a warm ambient glow suited to dining, hallway, or living spaces. It accepts three E14 candelabra-style lamps (not included), each rated to a maximum of 40 W.

The design blends industrial structure — four vertical straps, a horizontal banding detail, and visible hardware — with a classic, rounded bowl form. The result is a fitting that sits comfortably in transitional interiors without tipping into either industrial cliché or period pastiche. It is available in two finishes: Brushed Nickel and Western Bronze.

The Penn Station is height-adjustable at installation, with a minimum drop of 777 mm and a maximum drop of 1,677 mm, and a fitting width of 330 mm and nominal height of 597 mm. It carries an IP20 rating, making it suitable for dry interior locations. Lamps are not included; three E14 fittings are required, maximum 40 W each. No driver or transformer is required — this is a direct-mains lamped fitting.
