FAQs

Is the Elstead Payne suitable for use in a bathroom?

The Payne is categorised as a bathroom wall light, but IP zone suitability depends on placement relative to water sources. UK and Spanish bathroom regulations define zones by proximity to the bath or shower. Always confirm the IP rating with your electrician before installation to ensure it is appropriate for your intended zone.

Does the Payne wall light come with a lamp or bulb?

No lamp is included with the Payne. You will need to source a compatible bulb separately — your electrician or lighting supplier can advise on the correct cap type and a suitable wattage for the shade size.

How is the Payne wall light installed?

The Payne is a hardwired wall light, meaning it connects directly to a fixed electrical supply in the wall. It mounts via a square backplate. Installation should be carried out by a qualified electrician.

What are the dimensions of the Elstead Payne wall light?

The Payne measures H: 362mm, W: 127mm, P: 121mm. The 121mm projection from the wall is worth confirming against your available space, particularly if positioning between cabinetry or in a narrow recess.

Can I use the Payne wall light on either side of a bathroom mirror?

Yes — the vertical cylindrical form and even light diffusion from the opal glass shade make the Payne well suited to flanking a mirror in pairs. The upright proportion and compact width work naturally in this configuration.
