Elstead Olivia Chandelier

Choosing a chandelier is rarely just about aesthetics. Getting the ceiling height right, deciding between a pendant drop or a low-profile semi-flush fit, and finding something with enough presence without overpowering the room — these are real decisions that trip up even experienced specifiers.

For decorative statement lighting, what matters most is flexibility of form and confidence in quality. A chandelier that can adapt its mounting configuration gives you more rooms to work with and fewer compromises to make. The Olivia range from Elstead is built with exactly that in mind, featuring their flush convert system — a mechanism that allows the fitting to switch between a traditional chain-hung drop and a semi-flush ceiling mount without requiring a different product entirely.

The Elstead Olivia Chandelier is a five-light fitting designed for decorative indoor ceiling lighting (IP20 — suitable for dry interior spaces). Designed and manufactured by Elstead Lighting at their factory in Alton, Hampshire, UK, every piece is completely handmade and hand-finished. The structure features five outward-curving arms radiating from a distinctive bundle-of-rods central column, with decorative botanical leaf accents and candle-style sockets on shallow bobeche cups. The heavily textured, artisanal surface finish gives it a weathered, timeless character that sits comfortably in both traditional and layered-contemporary interiors.

The Olivia is available in two finishes: Ivory/Gold and Black/Gold — each lending a distinct character, from warm classical to dramatic contrast. The range is also designed to accept glass shades as an optional addition, giving you further control over light diffusion and visual weight.

The Olivia uses five flame-shaped bent-tip candle bulbs (not included) — check lamp compatibility and wattage limits before specifying. Rated IP20, this fitting is suited to dry interior environments only. The flush convert system is built in, meaning no additional hardware is needed to switch between mounting configurations — a practical advantage during install.
