Elstead Marquette 9-Light Chandelier

Choosing a chandelier for a principal room is one of those decisions that can go wrong quietly — the wrong scale, the wrong tone, a finish that clashes with the metalwork elsewhere. Getting it right means thinking about proportion, light distribution, and whether the piece will hold its own in the space without overwhelming it.

For a fitting like this, the key considerations are the tiered light distribution across nine candle-style sockets, the visual weight of the frame relative to ceiling height, and the IP20 rating — which means this is designed for dry interior spaces only, well away from moisture zones. IP ratings indicate how well a fitting is protected against ingress; IP20 suits standard living and dining environments.

The Elstead Marquette 9-Light Chandelier answers these concerns with a carefully considered design. Elstead is a UK heritage brand trusted on specification-led projects, and the Marquette range brings a Baroque-influenced open scrollwork frame — composed of C and S-curve metal straps — in their Heirloom finish: a rich, dark bronze with antique gold highlights on edges and decorative details. Nine candle-style sockets are arranged across two tiers (one at the apex, two at mid-height, six on the wider lower ring) to distribute ambient light broadly across the room.

The scrollwork frame has an open, airy quality that prevents it feeling heavy despite its traditional references. Multi-faceted clear crystal drops are suspended from the scroll ends and beneath each bobeche — the decorative drip pans beneath each socket — adding light-catching detail without overworking the silhouette. A decorative urn-shaped finial with a cluster of crystal pendants closes the central column at the base. The Marquette is available in the Heirloom finish, lending it a naturally distressed, aged character that suits formal dining rooms, entrance halls, and drawing rooms equally well.

The chandelier is suspended via a heavy-duty metal chain and ceiling loop — a standard pendant suspension method. It carries an IP20 rating, confirming suitability for dry interior zones. Please note that lamps are not confirmed as included; candle-style bulbs will need to be sourced separately and sized appropriately for each of the nine sockets. Always confirm lamp type and wattage with your specification notes or supplier before ordering.

At Lightsource Mallorca, we work through decisions like these so you don't have to second-guess them mid-project. The Marquette is the kind of curated, design-forward piece that earns its place in a considered interior — and we can help confirm scale, lamp sourcing, and installation requirements as part of your wider project coordination.
