A minimalist 4-light chandelier in brushed nickel with grey fabric drum shades. Max drop 1040mm. Shades sold separately — order both.

Adjustable chain drop — max 1040mm total height
Brushed nickel finish for a cool, modern aesthetic
Four-arm symmetry for even ambient light distribution
Fabric drum shades diffuse glare into soft ambience
IP20 rated — suitable for dry interior spaces
Shades sold separately — specify both for a complete install

One of the most common specification oversights with chandeliers is ordering the base fitting and forgetting the shades — or assuming they're included. With the Elstead Lucerne, the shades are intentionally sold separately, giving you genuine choice over finish and style. It's worth knowing upfront so your project timeline stays intact.

For a chandelier like this, the key decisions are drop height, lamp type, and shade compatibility. The chain suspension system means total height is adjustable during installation, which is useful in rooms where ceiling heights vary or haven't been fully confirmed at point of order. The 1040mm maximum drop from ceiling to base is the figure to work with early in your space planning.

The Elstead Lucerne 4-Light Chandelier is a clean-lined, modern pendant fitting with four L-shaped arms extending from a central cylindrical hub, each terminating in an upward-facing lamp socket housed within a tapered grey fabric drum shade. The brushed nickel finish provides a cool, contemporary reflective quality without veering into polished chrome territory. It is IP20 rated, meaning it is suitable for dry interior spaces only — living rooms, dining rooms, bedrooms, and similar environments.

The design follows a minimalist modern aesthetic: straight geometric forms, no ornate detailing, and a considered contrast between the brushed nickel metalwork and the matte texture of the grey fabric shades. The symmetrical four-arm configuration distributes light evenly in all directions, making it effective as a primary ambient source in open-plan or medium-to-large rooms.

The chandelier accepts four lamps via upward-facing sockets — lamp type and wattage should be confirmed against the fitting's technical data sheet before ordering. The chain suspension allows height adjustment at installation. As noted, grey fabric shades are sold separately from the base fitting; both components need to be ordered to complete the installation. IP20 rating confirms indoor dry-zone use only.

At Lightsource Mallorca, we help you specify the complete picture — base fitting, compatible shades, and the right lamp type — so nothing is missing when it arrives on site. The Lucerne is a considered choice for design-led interiors where understated precision matters more than visual noise, and we can support your project from initial selection through to delivery coordination.

FAQs

Are the shades included with the Lucerne chandelier?

No — the grey fabric drum shades are sold separately from the base fitting. This is intentional, giving you flexibility in your choice. You'll need to order both the base and the shades to complete the installation. We can help you confirm compatible shade options.

What is the maximum drop height of the Lucerne chandelier?

The total maximum height from ceiling to the base of the fitting, including the chain, is 1040mm. The chain suspension system allows the drop to be adjusted at installation, which is useful if your ceiling height is still being confirmed at point of specification.

What rooms is the Lucerne chandelier suitable for?

The Lucerne is IP20 rated, which means it is suitable for dry interior spaces only — living rooms, dining rooms, bedrooms, and hallways, for example. It is not suitable for bathrooms, outdoor use, or any area exposed to moisture.

What lamp type does the Lucerne take?

The fitting has four upward-facing lamp sockets. Lamp type and maximum wattage should be confirmed against the product's technical data sheet before purchasing bulbs. We recommend doing this before ordering to avoid delays on site.

What is the warranty on the Elstead Lucerne?

The Elstead Lucerne carries a standard 2-year manufacturer's warranty, in line with Elstead's general product guarantee across their lighting range.
