Elstead Lacey Decorative Wall Sconce

Choosing a decorative wall light is rarely just about looks. Get the layering wrong — too much bare bulb, too harsh a diffuser — and you lose the warmth you were after. The Elstead Lacey is designed specifically to avoid that problem, using two layers of diffusion to keep the light source hidden and the ambience soft.

For decorative wall sconces, the quality of diffusion matters as much as the fixture itself. A single thin shade can still reveal a bright hotspot; an opal glass inner diffuser, on the other hand, scatters light evenly before it ever reaches the outer layer. Pair that with a translucent organza fabric shade and you get genuinely glare-free illumination with a warm, layered glow — both upward and downward from the open-top, open-bottom cylinder.

The Elstead Lacey Wall Sconce belongs to the Lacey collection from Elstead, a long-established UK lighting manufacturer known for blending traditional craftsmanship with considered material choices. This fitting combines a bold, scroll-arm silhouette — a nod to classic Olde World design — with clean cylindrical shade geometry and a finial detail at the base of the central support column. The result sits comfortably in both characterful and contemporary interiors.

The frame is finished in a dark, textured metal with a warm depth to it. Two finish options are available: Mission Bronze and Antique Pewter — both in the same tonal family of aged, understated metalwork that resists dating. The shade assembly uses organza fabric over opal glass, giving the fitting its signature soft-focus quality.

The Lacey wall sconce is hardwired via a circular wall backplate with two fixing points, making it a permanent installation. Dimensions are H: 273mm, W: 127mm, Projection: 179mm — compact enough for hallways, bedroom walls, or either side of a headboard or mirror. As with all sconces in a collection, lamp type should be confirmed at point of specification to ensure compatibility with your preferred dimming setup. Elstead carry a general 2-year guarantee on this fitting.

At Lightsource Mallorca, we help you move from a fixture you like the look of to one that works precisely where you need it. We consider wall depth, projection into the space, and how the fitting will read in context — so the specification holds up when it matters. If you are working across multiple rooms or a full project, we can help you align this with the wider scheme.
