Elstead Kami Tiffany Pendant

Choosing a decorative pendant is rarely just about aesthetics — the real risk is selecting something that looks beautiful in isolation but loses its character once it's hanging in your space. With art glass pendants, the quality of the glass and the craftsmanship of its assembly determine whether the light it casts feels alive or flat.

Tiffany-style pendants work by assembling individual pieces of coloured art glass using a traditional leaded solder technique — the same method used in fine stained glasswork. Each piece is hand-selected and hand-joined, meaning the warmth and depth of the light passing through is a direct result of genuine artisanship rather than a printed or moulded effect. That distinction matters when you're specifying for a space where ambience is the goal.

The Elstead Kami Tiffany Pendant delivers exactly that. Part of Elstead's decorative collection, the Kami features a large hemispherical dome shade constructed from genuine art glass pieces arranged in a classic Art Nouveau floral pattern — organic, curvilinear, and unmistakably late 19th-century in its reference. The warm colour palette of amber, caramel and ginger is accented with emerald green, creating a layered, harmonious glow. Hardware throughout — including the suspension chain, central finial, and ceiling canopy — is finished in Vintage Bronze, grounding the piece with period-appropriate depth.

The Kami's dome form makes it well suited to dining spaces, entrance halls, or any interior where a focal-point pendant will anchor the room. A practical pull chain at the base of the shade offers manual on/off operation — a traditional, tactile detail that suits the fixture's character perfectly.

As with all art glass pendants, lamp choice will influence the warmth and intensity of the light cast through the shade. A warm white bulb in the 2700K range will complement the amber and ginger tones most effectively. Elstead products carry a warranty of 2–20 years depending on the model, reflecting the brand's confidence in their construction standards.
