Elstead Harlech Chandelier

Choosing a statement chandelier means committing to a silhouette that has to work from every angle, in every light condition. The risk is a fitting that looks compelling in a catalogue but feels either too ornate or too sparse once installed. Getting the balance right matters.

For candelabra-style chandeliers, the open-frame construction is the key design decision. Without shades or diffusers, light distributes freely in all directions — ideal for ambient warmth across a room, but it also means every detail of the frame is on show. Scrollwork, twisted metalwork, and the quality of the finish all become focal points rather than background elements.

The Elstead Harlech Chandelier addresses this directly. Part of Elstead's Harlech range and made in England, this five-light fitting features a circular hoop frame, five curved support arms converging at a central spherical hub, and a decorative barley-twist rod at the centre of the lower frame. Each candle-style socket sits atop a drip-tray saucer with a decorative scroll flourish beneath — detail that earns its place. The result is a balanced, symmetrical silhouette that reads as medieval in character but transitions naturally into both traditional and contemporary interiors.

The dark, matte metal finish reinforces the fixture's architectural credibility without tipping into heavy-handed gothic territory. The open-frame design and flame-tip candelabra bulb format keep it feeling refined rather than theatrical.

The Harlech is rated IP20, confirming it is suitable for dry indoor environments — living rooms, dining rooms, hallways, and hotel lobbies being the natural fit. The fitting is suspended via a metal link chain from a ceiling loop. Lamp type is candelabra-style flame-tip; please confirm compatible lamp specifications with us prior to ordering to ensure the right output and dimming behaviour for your space.

At Lightsource Mallorca, we work with Elstead's range because British-made heritage product tends to deliver on the promise: consistent finish quality, reliable construction, and the kind of considered detailing that holds up under scrutiny. We can help you confirm the right lamp spec, advise on dimmer compatibility, and coordinate delivery to suit your project timeline — so the specification decision is straightforward, not stressful.
