Elstead Emery Pendant

Choosing a central pendant for a living space or dining area often comes down to one question: will it give the right quality of light, or just fill the ceiling? A pendant that throws harsh, undiffused light can ruin the ambience of an otherwise well-considered room.

For spaces where soft, even ambient light matters, the combination of a fabric shade and a secondary diffuser is the answer. The fabric diffuses light laterally — gently filling the room — while a frosted glass base panel softens the downward beam, concealing the lamp source and preventing glare at eye level. Together, they give you warmth and clarity without hotspots.

The Elstead Emery Pendant does exactly this. Part of Elstead's Emery collection, it features an off-white fabric drum shade paired with a frosted glass base diffuser, delivering a dual-layer approach to light diffusion. Four decorative arched metal arms bridge the vertical suspension stem to the drum shade, giving the fixture a distinctive geometric character that reads as contemporary without being cold.

The clean, minimalist frame is available in two finishes: Olde Bronze and Classic Pewter — both well-suited to transitional and contemporary interiors. The fixture measures 457mm in diameter and 263mm in height, with a drop adjustable between 315mm and 1,245mm via the stem system, making it adaptable to rooms with varying ceiling heights.

This is an IP20 rated pendant — suitable for dry indoor environments only. It is not suitable for bathrooms or covered outdoor areas. Lamp type and driver requirements should be confirmed at point of specification; Elstead products typically accept standard lamp formats, but we recommend verifying compatibility before purchasing dimmer switches or smart controls.

At Lightsource Mallorca, we work with brands like Elstead precisely because their products bridge design intent and practical specification. The Emery pendant is a considered choice for living rooms, dining spaces, and entrance halls where ambient quality matters. If you need help matching it to the right lamp, drop height, or control system for your project, we're here to guide you through it.
