Elstead Baltimore Large Lamp Post

Choosing the wrong outdoor post light is a surprisingly common project risk — especially where the design brief calls for character and period authenticity, but the reality of coastal or humid climates demands genuine corrosion resistance. Get this wrong and you're replacing fittings long before the garden is finished.

For tall exterior post lights, the key specification considerations are IP rating, material durability, and finish integrity over time. IP44 means the fitting is protected against solid objects over 1mm and water splashing from any direction — appropriate for open landscape and pathway settings. Anti-corrosion protection further extends service life in exposed or coastal environments, which matters greatly across Mallorca's varied microclimates.

The Elstead Baltimore Large Lamp Post is a full-height period-style exterior post light from the Baltimore family by Elstead Lighting, a trusted UK manufacturer with a long track record in decorative exterior specification. The fitting carries an IP44 rating and is backed by a 3-year anti-corrosion warranty — giving you a firm technical foundation beneath the ornamental surface.

The design draws from traditional European street lantern forms: a slender segmented pole with decorative collars, a fluted and flared base for surface mounting, and a hexagonal lantern head glazed with amber-tinted hand-blown glass. The fine leaf finial detail on the lantern cap lifts this well above commodity period lighting. The hand-finished Weathered Bronze Patina gives the metal a considered, aged character that deepens rather than dates as it weathers. The Baltimore range also extends to wall, pedestal, and suspended applications, making coordinated schemes across a property straightforward to specify.

The fitting is constructed from metal with a surface-mounted flared base. Lamp source details should be confirmed at point of order — your Lightsource Mallorca contact can advise on compatible sources and any control or dimming considerations relevant to your project.

At Lightsource Mallorca, we help you move from a design concept to a specified, delivered, installed reality — with the right product at the right price, and lead times managed so outdoor schemes don't stall the broader project. The Baltimore range is the kind of considered, specification-ready choice that rewards a properly coordinated approach.
