Elstead Artisan Chandelier

Choosing a chandelier that photographs beautifully is straightforward enough — choosing one that works in the actual room, at the right drop height, and with the right lamp type, is where most projects run into difficulty.

For chain-hung chandeliers, the key decisions are suspension length and ceiling height compatibility. The Artisan solves part of this problem directly: the three-light and five-light versions can be converted to semi-flush mounting, meaning the same fitting works in rooms with generous ceiling heights and those where a full chain drop simply isn't possible. Semi-flush conversion means the canopy sits closer to the ceiling with a shorter or removed chain section, reducing the overall drop.

The Elstead Artisan Chandelier is a three-arm, interior ceiling-hung fitting from Elstead Lighting, a UK-based manufacturer with a long track record in decorative specification. It features hand-formed metal scrollwork on each arm, a distinctive almond-shaped open cage at the central column, and a knot twist detail at the base — design cues that sit comfortably in traditional, transitional, and artisan-led interiors.

The Artisan is available in two finishes: Black and Aged Brass. Each arm terminates in a candle-style socket with a shallow drip pan, giving the fitting a classic silhouette whether lit or unlit. The chain suspension connects to a matching circular ceiling rose, and height can be adjusted via the linked chain.

The fitting takes three candle-style lamps with small Edison screw (E14) bases — lamps are not included and should be selected to suit your dimming setup if dimming is required. Confirm dimmer and lamp compatibility before specifying; candle LED lamps vary in their dimming performance depending on the driver or dimmer type in use.

At Lightsource Mallorca, we help you make specification decisions that hold up on site — not just on a mood board. The Elstead Artisan is a considered choice for residential and boutique commercial interiors where traditional craft detail is needed without overcomplicating the install. We can advise on lamp selection, dimmer compatibility, and ceiling height suitability as part of your project.
