Elstead Armand Semi-Flush Ceiling Light

Choosing a ceiling light for a room with limited ceiling height — or one that sits between casual and formal in tone — is trickier than it looks. Too flat and it disappears; too pendant-heavy and it dominates. The semi-flush format is often the right answer, but only when the design is worth looking at from below.

Semi-flush fittings bridge the gap between flush ceiling plates and full pendants. They sit close to the ceiling via a short stem, giving the fixture visual presence and depth without eating into headroom. For transitional interiors — those that mix classic proportions with contemporary restraint — the finish pairing and shade form matter enormously.

The Elstead Armand Semi-Flush Ceiling Light delivers exactly that balance. Elstead is a well-established UK lighting brand with a strong track record in specification-grade decorative fittings. The Armand brings three candelabra-style light sources arranged via two outward brass arms and one central downward position, all housed in contoured urn-shaped clear glass shades with a distinctive collared detail near the socket — a refined touch that rewards close inspection.

The two-tone construction pairs a matte black canopy, hub, and socket fittings with antique brass arms and decorative caps, creating contrast that highlights the fixture's geometric structure. The clear glass shades are open at the base, allowing light to project freely and making bulb replacement straightforward. The Armand is available in an Aged Brass and Black finish combination, with two variants to suit different project configurations.

Installation is via a standard ceiling electrical box, hardwired through the top canopy. The fixture accepts candelabra-style bulbs — confirm compatible lamp types and wattage limits with your electrician before installation. No driver is required for mains-voltage lamped fittings of this type. If dimming is planned, verify dimmer compatibility with the lamp type selected, as candelabra LEDs can be sensitive to phase-cut dimmers. The product carries a two-year manufacturer's warranty.

At Lightsource Mallorca, we curate decorative fittings that earn their place on a specification sheet — not just for looks, but for how reliably they install and perform. The Armand is the kind of considered choice that saves revision rounds: clear finish language, a well-resolved design, and a brand with genuine heritage behind it. We can support your project from selection through to delivery coordination, so the right light arrives at the right time.
