Elstead Arabella Pendant Light

Choosing a pendant for a room with lower ceilings — or one where you want the option to adjust hanging height — often means compromising on the look you actually want. Most decorative pendants are fixed at one drop, leaving you either living with a fitting that feels too low or hunting for a completely different product.

This is where mounting flexibility matters. A duo-mount system means the same fitting can be installed either as a full pendant on its rod stem or converted to a semi-flush configuration — sitting closer to the ceiling — without changing the shade or losing any of the design character. The result is a single product that works across a wider range of room heights, which is particularly useful in older Mallorcan properties where ceiling heights can vary significantly between floors.

The Elstead Arabella Pendant brings that flexibility without sacrificing form. The outer shade is a metal drum finished in Distressed Gold with an intricate arabesque fretwork pattern — this open lattice allows light to filter through the cream linen inner shade, projecting layered, patterned warmth into the room. A flat glass diffuser at the base softens the light downward, reducing direct glare and distributing illumination more evenly. The canopy, rod, and drum frame all carry the same textured Distressed Gold finish, giving the fitting a cohesive, considered aesthetic.

The Arabella range has a clear design identity: the contrast between the geometric precision of the metalwork and the softness of the linen interior creates a layered, high-end effect that suits both contemporary and transitional interiors. The range also includes half-moon wall sconces, making it straightforward to carry a consistent scheme across a room or corridor without introducing a second product family.

The Arabella is rated IP20, making it suitable for standard interior rooms away from wet zones — not appropriate for bathrooms or outdoor use. It is designed to accept retrofit LED lamps, so you have full control over colour temperature, brightness, and dimming behaviour by choosing the right lamp for your existing setup. No driver is required. Please confirm lamp type and fitting compatibility before ordering if you intend to use a specific dimmer.
