Elstead Arabella 2 Light Flush Mount

Low ceilings create a real constraint in decorative lighting. Pendants and chandeliers are out, but a purely functional fitting feels like a missed opportunity — especially when the rest of the room has been carefully considered.

For spaces where ceiling height limits your options, a flush mount needs to do double duty: practical placement, but with enough visual character to hold its own. The key is how light is handled — diffused evenly to avoid harsh spots, and filtered through materials that add warmth rather than strip it away.

The Elstead Arabella 2 Light Flush Mount addresses this directly. A drum-shaped metal frame in a distressed gold-leaf finish is laser-cut with an intricate arabesque lattice pattern, layered over an inner ivory fabric shade. A flat translucent diffuser at the base eliminates glare from the two internal light sources, producing soft, even ambient light with a warm, handcrafted quality. The distressed gold finish gives the fitting a textured, aged character that reads as considered rather than generic.

The Arabella's form is built around layered visual depth — the lattice overlay creates a three-dimensional effect against the fabric shade behind it, shifting subtly as light levels change throughout the day. The cylindrical silhouette sits flush to the ceiling, making it well suited to bedrooms, hallways, and living spaces where ceiling height is a constraint but atmosphere still matters.

As a lamped fitting housing two internal light sources, lamp choice will influence the warmth and brightness of the output. Elstead carries a 2-year general warranty on this product.
