Elstead Amelia Table Lamp

Choosing a table lamp for a prominent surface — a console, a side table, a reading nook — is rarely just about lumens. The risk is picking something that looks striking in isolation but feels incongruous in the room: too busy, too plain, or simply wrong in scale. A lamp with genuine sculptural presence needs to earn its place.

For spaces that call for character and warmth, the lamp base does as much work as the shade. Here, the base is the focal point — a detailed wildlife sculpture finished in a way that rewards close inspection. The shade then softens and distributes the light, creating ambience rather than a harsh pool of brightness.

The Elstead Amelia Table Lamp is a single-light decorative table lamp built around an intricate stag-and-fawn sculpture set on a tiered, weighted circular base. The bronze patina finish — dark brown tones with lighter metallic highlights — emphasises the texture of the animals and the ground they stand on, giving the piece an antique, hand-crafted quality. A slender dark metal stem rises from the base to support an oval drum shade in a natural, beige-toned fabric with a linen-like texture. That oval form is a deliberate departure from the standard circular drum, adding a subtle geometry that suits both traditional and transitional interiors.

The Amelia sits naturally in living rooms, studies, libraries, or any interior drawing on a rustic, lodge, or heritage aesthetic. Its weighted base and considered proportions make it suited to larger side tables or console surfaces where it can be seen properly.

The Amelia is a single-light lamp designed to accept a standard lamp fitting beneath the shade. Lamp not included — check fitting type before ordering. No integrated LED or driver is specified for this product. The semi-translucent fabric shade diffuses light evenly and reduces direct glare, making it well suited to ambient or accent use rather than task lighting.

At Lightsource Mallorca, we work with Elstead because their range consistently delivers on what specification-led projects need: reliable construction, coherent design language, and predictable lead times. The Amelia is the kind of piece that resolves a difficult brief — where the room needs a focal point that also works as a light source — without compromise on either front.
