Elstead Amarilli Chandelier

Choosing a statement chandelier for a principal room carries real risk — get the scale, style, or finish wrong and it can feel out of place for years. When the fitting is this decorative, the decision deserves careful thought.

For a chandelier of this character, the key questions are usually about finish harmony and ambient light quality. A piece with this level of handcrafted detail works best where the light it casts reinforces the atmosphere rather than fighting it — candle-style flame bulbs, for example, produce a warm, directional glow that suits traditional and transitional interiors well.

The Elstead Amarilli Chandelier is a five-light, ceiling-mounted fitting designed and made in England by Elstead. The frame is traditionally forged metal dressed with antiqued oak leaf motifs and intricate scrollwork. Clear glass drops and faceted cut-glass sconces add light-refracting detail, while five candle-style lamp positions sit on individual arms, each supported by a cut-glass sconce dish. A central glass sphere is nestled within the vertical support column, adding a further layer of crafted detail. The result is a classically composed decorative focal point that also delivers genuine ambient illumination.

The Amarilli range is available in two finishes: Bronze and Black/Silver — both suited to period interiors and design schemes where handcrafted metal and botanical detail play a central role. The hanging height is adjustable via the metal chain and support rod, giving you flexibility during installation to achieve the right drop for your ceiling height.

This fitting carries an IP20 rating, meaning it is suitable for dry interior locations only — appropriate for hallways, dining rooms, drawing rooms, and similar principal spaces, but not for bathrooms or exposed outdoor settings. Lamps are not confirmed as included, so factor candelabra-style flame bulbs into your specification. The fitting is rated for interior use and carries a two-year warranty. No driver is required — this is a directly wired mains fitting.
