Elstead Aegean Chandelier

Choosing a chandelier for a traditional or transitional interior often comes down to one critical question: will it read as elegant or overdone? The wrong scale, finish, or detailing can tip a room either way — and with a statement piece like this, there is little room to course-correct once it is installed.

For decorative ceiling fixtures of this type, the details that matter most are the ones that create light movement and depth: the interplay between metalwork and glass, the silhouette against a ceiling, and how the piece reads both lit and unlit. A chandelier earns its place by working in both states.

The Elstead Aegean Chandelier is an eight-light decorative pendant fixture from Elstead's Aegean range, designed to bring that balance of craft and character to both classical and contemporary interiors. Eight curved, hand-forged scroll arms radiate from a central column — itself formed by an open, elongated cage-like frame that gives the fixture a distinct architectural silhouette. Each arm terminates in a candle-style holder with a matching sleeve, fitted with faceted cut glass bobeches at the base. Clear teardrop glass droplets hang from the central structure, catching and scattering light to animate the surrounding space.

The Aegean is available in three finishes: Aged Brass, Polished Nickel, and Polished Brass — each changing the character of the piece considerably. The Aged Brass lends warmth and antique depth; the Polished Nickel reads cooler and more contemporary; the Polished Brass sits somewhere between, with a brightness that suits grander, more formal settings. All three are finished to Elstead's established standard for decorative interior lighting.

The fixture is suspended via a matching metal chain with an integrated power cord. It is designed for candle-style lamp sources, compatible with standard E14 candle-shaped bulbs. The Aegean family also includes flush-convertible ceiling options and wall lights, offering consistency across a scheme. Lamp selection — including bulb shape, wattage, and dimmer compatibility — should be confirmed at specification stage to ensure the finished effect matches the design intent.

At Lightsource Mallorca, we work with decorative ranges like the Aegean as part of a considered specification process — helping you match the right fixture to the right space, confirm lamp and control compatibility before ordering, and coordinate delivery to your project timeline. It is the kind of detail that keeps a scheme on track and avoids expensive surprises on site.
