FAQs

What does IP54 mean, and which bathroom zones is the Pixo suitable for?

IP54 means the fitting is protected against limited dust ingress and water splashing from any direction. This makes it suitable for bathroom zones where steam and condensation are present, but it is not rated for direct water jets or submersion. Always confirm zone suitability with your installer before specifying.

Can the Pixo be painted to match my ceiling colour?

Yes. The plaster or ceramic construction means the fitting can be painted once installed, allowing it to blend seamlessly with the ceiling surface. Use a suitable emulsion and avoid blocking the aperture during painting.

Is a driver included, or do I need to source one separately?

Driver requirements should be confirmed at the specification stage. The Pixo does not include a driver as standard, so you'll need to ensure a compatible LED driver — the component that converts mains power to the correct voltage and current for the LED — is selected to match your dimming system and circuit.

What CRI does the Pixo have, and why does it matter in a bathroom?

The Pixo has a CRI of 92. CRI (Colour Rendering Index) measures how accurately a light source renders colours compared to natural daylight, on a scale of 0–100. A CRI of 92 is considered high-quality and is particularly important in bathrooms, where accurate skin tones and colour matching for grooming matter.

How many variants of the Pixo are available?

The Pixo Bathroom Downlight is available in 2 variants. Contact Lightsource Mallorca to confirm which options best suit your project requirements.
