The A-Emotional Light Africa Floor Lamp is exactly that kind of object. Designed by Arturo Álvarez and handmade in Spain, it takes the form of a tall, conical column clad in painted stainless steel mesh, flaring at the top into an organic, trumpet-like opening with an irregular hand-finished rim. The mesh skin diffuses light softly along the body while the primary beam rises upward through the open top, spreading across the ceiling to fill a space with gentle, expansive ambience.

The Africa is defined by its vertical fluting — closely spaced ridges that run the full height of the column — and by a silhouette that shifts subtly depending on your viewing angle. The monochromatic body sits on a flat circular base in a brushed silver finish, grounding what is otherwise a remarkably slender and elegant form. The lamp is available in White, Beige, Grey, and Taupe, allowing it to read as a tonal complement or quiet contrast depending on the interior palette.

The Africa connects to a standard electrical outlet via a floor cord from the base.
