The Liaison Double Tier Chandelier is a statement piece — and that means getting the placement, proportion, and suspension height right before it arrives on site.
For a chandelier of this scale, the two questions that matter most are ceiling height and room footprint. Chain suspension allows hanging height to be adjusted on site, but the fixture's tiered diameter still needs to be validated against the room at the design stage. The open-frame construction with exposed bulbs also means the bulb choice is a visible design decision, not a background one — slender decorative lamps are the right call here, not standard utility bulbs.
The Visual Comfort Liaison Double Tier Chandelier is designed by Kelly Wearstler as part of the Visual Comfort Signature Collection. It carries 24 light points arranged across two tiers — eight on the upper and sixteen on the lower — mounted on square-profile arms that radiate from a central vertical stem. The lower tier is wider than the upper, producing a tapered silhouette that reads as both architectural and decorative. IP20 rated, it is suited to dry interior environments: principal rooms, dining spaces, hotel lobbies, and double-height hallways.
The design sits in transitional territory — clean right-angle geometry meeting classical chandelier form. The hand-applied antique-burnished brass finish gives each piece its own surface character; no two will be identical. The Liaison is available in Antique-Burnished Brass or Bronze, and with or without crackle glass on the socket elements — a textural detail that catches light in a way flat glass simply does not.
The fixture is hardwired into a standard ceiling electrical box and suspended via a heavy-gauge metal chain from a circular ceiling canopy. Chain length can be adjusted to suit ceiling height. Lamps are not included; slender decorative filament or candelabra-style bulbs are recommended to honour the design intent. IP20 rating confirms this is an indoor dry-location fitting only.
