Sikrea Toy Pendant Light

One of the quieter specification risks with decorative pendants is buying for looks alone and only discovering on install that the light quality doesn't hold up in the room. Colour rendering matters: a fitting that flatters the glass insert beautifully under a showroom spot can wash out the warmth of timber, stone, or soft furnishings if the CRI is poor. It pays to know before you order.

For pendants centred on coloured or textured glass, the interaction between light source and diffuser material is the whole story. Cathedral glass — a translucent, lightly structured glass — scatters and filters light rather than transmitting it cleanly, producing a soft, warm glow rather than a direct point of brightness. CRI (Colour Rendering Index, a measure of how accurately a light source reveals true colours, scored out of 100) at 90 or above is the threshold where that warmth reads as intentional rather than murky.

The Sikrea Toy Pendant Light meets that threshold. With a CRI of 90, it renders colour faithfully through each of its cathedral glass inserts, meaning the amber glows genuinely golden, the petrol reads as a true deep teal, and the smoky finish retains depth rather than going flat. Sikrea's design pairs the glass disc within a clean circular matte black metal frame suspended on a single fine black cable — a minimalist open-hoop silhouette that creates presence without visual weight. Rated IP20, it is suited to dry interior environments.

The collection is available in four glass insert finishes: Amber, Crystal, Smoky, and Petrol — each producing a distinctly different ambient character from the same architectural form. The high-contrast combination of smooth matte black metalwork and the textured, light-catching glass insert is the defining design gesture: restrained from a distance, considered up close.

The Toy is rated IP20, confirming it is intended for dry interior locations only — not suitable for bathrooms or covered outdoor use without zone review. Specific driver, lamp, and dimming requirements should be confirmed at point of specification; our team can advise on compatible control options to suit your project's broader lighting scheme.

At Lightsource Mallorca, we work across the full specification journey — from selecting the right fitting for the right space, to confirming technical compatibility before anything is ordered. The Sikrea Toy sits within a curated portfolio chosen for design integrity and specification reliability. If you're coordinating a project with multiple pendant types or mixed zones, we can help align choices and lead times so installation runs without surprises.
