Sikrea Lyla Pendant Light

One of the quieter frustrations in pendant specification is choosing a fixture that photographs beautifully but fails to deliver once installed — either the light is harsh and uneven, or the form reads as decoration without substance. Getting both right matters, especially in spaces where the pendant is doing double duty as focal point and functional light source.

For a ring-style pendant, light diffusion is everything. The quality of the diffusing element — how it scatters and softens the light source — determines whether a space feels considered or clinical. A high CRI (Colour Rendering Index) rating, where 100 represents natural daylight, ensures that materials, textiles, and skin tones in the room read accurately under the light. The Lyla scores 90 here, which is genuinely good for a decorative pendant and worth calling out at specification stage.

The Sikrea Lyla Pendant Light is a ceiling-suspended ring pendant from Italian-leaning manufacturer Sikrea, part of their Lyla range. Its defining feature is a thick, vertically oriented translucent ring with an internal crackled or bubble-effect texture — designed to diffuse light evenly across its surface rather than project it in a single direction. The metal components carry a brushed brass finish, and a slender black cord handles both suspension and wiring. CRI 90 and an IP20 rating make it suited to interior residential and commercial environments away from wet zones.

The form language is clean and architectural — a stacked geometry of cylinder, sphere, and torus (ring) that reads as modern without being cold. The brushed brass finish adds warmth without tipping into traditional territory, and the black cable provides a deliberate contrast that grounds the piece. There are no listed variant options for this product, so what you see is the specification.

The Lyla carries an IP20 rating, meaning it is suitable for dry interior locations only — not bathrooms, outdoor covered areas, or any zone with moisture exposure. Confirm lamp type, driver requirements, and dimming compatibility with your project electrician or via our specification team, as these details are not included in the current product data.

At Lightsource Mallorca, we work through specification decisions like these before they become site problems — matching the right pendant to the right space, confirming technical requirements, and coordinating delivery around your project timeline. The Lyla is the kind of considered, design-forward piece that rewards proper specification rather than last-minute selection.
