The Laguna ships with over 3 metres of suspension wire, giving you genuine flexibility across a wide range of ceiling heights — from standard residential rooms to double-height or vaulted spaces. It takes six E14 candle-style bulbs (the small Edison screw fitting common in decorative fixtures), which means you have a wide choice of lamp style and output. It is dimmable when paired with a compatible dimmer switch, not included — something worth confirming with your electrician at first fix.

The Quintiesse Laguna is a large decorative ceiling pendant from Quintiesse, a Belgian lighting brand with a strong tradition in design-led residential fixtures. The Laguna range was designed as an artistic interpretation of a net breaking the water's surface — clear glass teardrop droplets suspended at varying lengths from a hand-crafted open metal framework, evoking the shimmer and movement of water caught in light. The result is a piece that functions as ambient lighting but reads as sculpture.

The frame is formed from an organic, irregular open-work metal structure with a burnished gold finish — textured and warm rather than bright or polished. Numerous clear glass teardrops fall from the mesh at varying depths, and the whole structure is suspended via slender tension cables that keep the visual focus on the frame itself, which appears almost to float. This is a substantial fixture: 914mm in diameter, with a minimum drop of 482mm and a maximum of 3,366mm, making scale and ceiling height critical specification considerations.

Six E14 candle-style lamps are required but not included — LED equivalents are recommended for heat management within the enclosed cluster and for dimming compatibility. The fixture is dimmable, but a compatible dimmer switch must be sourced separately; leading-edge or trailing-edge TRIAC dimmers (which regulate voltage to control brightness) are typically suitable for E14 lamp loads of this size, though lamp and dimmer compatibility should always be confirmed at specification stage. A 2-year warranty is included.
