The truncated pyramid shade, approximately 52 cm in diameter, is hand-braided in an interlacing pattern that creates what the designer describes as organised chaos: a structured lattice of cord that generates complex geometric volumes across each face of the shade.

The open-lattice construction of the shade is not just a visual choice — it allows light to pass through the gaps in the braid, casting a textured, atmospheric illumination pattern around the fitting. The lamp sits on a tall, slender cylindrical stem rising from a wide, flat square base for stability, finished uniformly in matte black across base, stem, and shade. The Onna takes a standard E27 lamp — the most common screw fitting — which means LED bulbs are widely available and straightforward to source.
