The LZF Swirl Pendant, designed by Ray Power for Spanish manufacturer LZF, answers both brief at once. Its interlocking curved ribbons of tinted wood veneer create a fluid, almost fabric-like silhouette — horizontally oriented, softly undulating, with open gaps that allow light to filter through and wrap across surrounding surfaces. It functions as ambient illumination and sculptural centrepiece simultaneously. The IP20 rating confirms it is suited to dry interior spaces.

The Swirl is available in ten shade colour options, including Natural Beech, Sea Blue, Pale Rose, Grey, Orange, Red, and more — each applying a tint over visible natural wood grain, so the organic texture reads through every finish. Three canopy finishes — Matt White, Nickel, and Matt Black — allow the suspension hardware to integrate cleanly with ceiling and trim choices.

The Swirl is constructed from wood veneer over a metal internal frame, which supports the shade's complex geometry from a single central suspension cable.
