The LZF Gea is the exception: a compact, considered design that earns its place in a minimalist hallway, a feature wall composition, or a carefully lit bedroom ceiling.

For surface and flush-mounted lights, the key decisions are finish durability, light quality through the diffuser, and dimming compatibility. Diffused ambient light — spread evenly rather than directed — is ideal for general illumination where you want warmth without glare. Dimming method matters here: 0–10V dimming uses a low-voltage signal to control output smoothly (requiring a compatible driver and control system), while a dimmable bulb approach works with conventional phase dimmers on the wall.

The LZF Gea Surface & Wall Light is designed by Mariví Calvo for LZF, the Spanish lighting brand renowned for its hand-crafted wood veneer work. The Gea's cylindrical form is compact and puck-like, with a smooth opaque white diffuser that spreads light evenly and a darker body that contrasts cleanly against it. Rated IP20, it is suited to dry interior spaces including living rooms, bedrooms, corridors, and feature walls. Both 0–10V and dimmable bulb dimming methods are supported, depending on the variant specified.

Gea is designed with a deliberately modest footprint — its shallow depth and clean geometry make it easy to integrate individually or group in modular arrangements for more expressive compositions. The body combines metal and wood veneer, and it is available in ten finishes: Sea Blue, Pale Rose, Grey, Blue, Red, Orange, Yellow, Natural Beech, Natural Cherry, and Ivory White.

Gea is rated IP20, meaning it is designed for dry interior environments only — not suitable for bathrooms or outdoor use. It supports two dimming approaches: 0–10V (requires a compatible driver and control wiring) or a dimmable bulb solution. Confirm your preferred dimming route at specification stage to ensure the correct variant and compatible control gear are selected. The fitting is hardwired and controlled via a wall switch or building management system — there are no onboard controls.
