Lucide Magius Flush Ceiling Light

Choosing a ceiling light that feels genuinely warm — not just looks it in the product photo — is harder than it sounds. Many natural-material fittings disappoint once installed, either blocking too much light or losing their texture once switched on. Getting the balance between ambience and useful illumination right matters, especially in living spaces where the ceiling light sets the entire mood of the room.

For flush and surface-mounted ceiling lights, three things tend to determine success: how light escapes the shade, what the interior lining does to that light, and whether the lampholder works with a standard dimmer. A fitting that filters light through its structure, reflects it warmly downward, and accepts a dimmable LED bulb gives you real control over atmosphere without a complicated control system.

The Lucide Magius Flush Ceiling Light delivers on all three. Lucide is a Belgian lighting brand with a long track record in design-led domestic and specification fittings. The Magius features a 42 cm diameter cylindrical drum shade constructed from fine, vertically aligned rattan slats — naturally finished and minimally treated — held together with horizontal binding. The warm metallic golden interior lining reflects light downward with a luminous, orange-gold glow, while the open slat structure allows diffused light to escape through the sides, creating texture on surrounding surfaces. IP20 rated, it is suitable for dry interior spaces.

The design is clean and structured — a modern drum silhouette with a contrast black base rim that anchors the natural material palette. The rattan exterior reads as warm and organic; the metallic lining adds a considered material contrast when illuminated. No range variants are listed for this model.

The Magius accepts a standard LED bulb (not included) and is compatible with a conventional dimmer switch — meaning you can manage warmth and ambience without specialist controls or additional hardware. IP20 rating confirms it is designed for dry interior rooms: living rooms, bedrooms, and dining spaces. Always confirm dimmer compatibility with your chosen LED bulb manufacturer, as performance varies by bulb type.

At Lightsource Mallorca, we help you move from a product you like the look of to one you can specify and install with confidence. The Magius is a straightforward specification: a well-made Belgian-designed fitting that earns its place through material quality and practical dimming flexibility, not complexity. We can advise on compatible dimmable LED bulbs and dimmer switches to complete the package correctly from the start.
