Lucide Luke Floor Lamp

Choosing a statement floor lamp is rarely just about looks. The real question is whether the design will hold its own in the space without fighting the architecture — or worse, looking like an afterthought once you factor in scale, light quality, and bulb choice.

For a lamp like this, the key decisions are bulb type and the ambience you want to create. Because the frames are open — no shade, no diffuser — the light source is fully visible from every angle. That means the bulb itself becomes part of the design. A large, warm-toned filament bulb (commonly called an Edison bulb) reinforces the industrial-minimalist aesthetic and produces a soft, omnidirectional glow. A cooler or more utilitarian bulb will change the character of the lamp entirely.

The Lucide Luke Floor Lamp is a Belgian-designed floor lamp that answers the brief for spaces where clean geometry meets warmth. Three open square metal frames are stacked vertically along a slender twin-upright structure, each housing a single downward-facing bulb socket. The result is a tiered, rhythmic silhouette that functions as both a light source and a sculptural object. Rated IP20, it is suited to dry indoor environments — living rooms, bedrooms, studios, or design-led commercial interiors.

The Luke is constructed entirely from metal in a matte black finish, giving it a minimalist industrial quality that works particularly well in modern, loft-style, or architect-designed interiors. Standing 145 cm tall and 50 cm wide, it has genuine presence without overwhelming a room. A flat rectangular base provides stability across the full height. The lamp is switched via a cord-mounted inline switch for straightforward on/off control.

Three separate bulb sockets are fitted across the stacked frames. Bulbs are not included, so you have the freedom to choose the light source that best suits your scheme — warm filament bulbs are strongly recommended to complement the open-frame design. IP20 rating means this lamp is designed for dry indoor use only. No driver or transformer is required; the lamp operates directly from a standard mains supply via the cord and inline switch.

At Lightsource Mallorca, we work with products like the Lucide Luke because the specification detail matters as much as the design intent. Getting the bulb selection right — type, wattage, colour temperature — is where the real difference is made. We can advise on compatible options and help you coordinate delivery alongside other elements of your project, so nothing is left to chance on install day.
