Lighting vertical garden elements like hedges, walls, and fences from ground level sounds straightforward — until you realise most ground lights shoot straight up. The result is a narrow hotspot at the base and a wall that fades into darkness above. That's not the effect anyone had in mind.

What you actually need is a light source with a deliberately angled, wide beam — one that spreads evenly across the full height of the element you're trying to illuminate. In lighting terms, this means a fixture engineered with a directional internal reflector and a beam axis that departs from vertical. The Luna does exactly this: its name is literally an acronym for Light Under 'N Angle.

The In-Lite Luna is a low-profile recessed outdoor ground light designed and engineered in the Netherlands. Its angled wide beam is purpose-built for illuminating large garden elements — hedges, timber fences, rendered walls, and espaliers — quickly and evenly, with a grand effect that's surprisingly easy to achieve. The minimalist circular metal bezel sits flush to the surface, making it nearly invisible by day. It is also drive-over rated, meaning it can be safely installed in driveways and hard-landscaped areas without concern.

The Luna's design is deliberately understated — a flat, circular matte bezel with a clear protective lens, designed to disappear into its surroundings when unlit. It is available in Black, Pearl Grey, and Stainless Steel, making it straightforward to match against a range of hard landscaping materials and surface colours.

The Luna is installed recessed into a pre-drilled hole in hard or soft surfaces. For installation into loose substrates such as earth, gravel, or grass, In-Lite's SPIKE accessory allows the Luna to be ground-staked without in-ground coring. Note: the Luna is not compatible with the In-Lite BOX 100 accessory. Driver and power supply requirements follow the In-Lite low-voltage ecosystem — confirm your transformer and cabling specification before ordering.
