The domed, parasol-inspired shade is constructed from spandex fabric — translucent enough to diffuse light warmly through its sides while directing a softer wash downward onto the surface below. A beaded metal pull chain provides manual switching directly at the lamp. The shade measures 46cm, making it a well-proportioned statement piece for a sideboard, console, or generous bedside table.

The base is a substantial pill-shaped cylinder finished in satin cream with a fine speckled texture that reads as ceramic or stone in character. Brushed gold metallic accents — the base plate, finial, and pull chain — add warmth and reinforce the mid-century modern aesthetic. The overall effect is a considered contrast between the solidity of the base and the delicacy of the panelled dome above it.

The Crosby accepts a single E27 lamp (not included). E27 refers to the standard large Edison screw fitting — the most widely available bulb format. Select a warm-white LED bulb (2700K is typically recommended for living and bedroom spaces) with a suitable lumen output for your application. If you intend to dim the lamp, ensure your chosen bulb is marked as dimmable and is paired with a compatible dimmer switch — LED dimming compatibility varies by bulb, so it is worth checking before purchasing.
