Elstead Christina Chandelier

Choosing a statement chandelier for a living room or dining space often comes down to more than just appearance — the wrong scale, the wrong finish depth, or an incompatible ceiling height can undermine an otherwise well-designed interior. Getting both the form and the installation logic right from the start matters.

For decorative chandeliers like this, the key considerations are ceiling height (which determines whether to use the full chain suspension or convert to semi-flush), lamp type compatibility, and finish durability in the intended environment. IP20 means this fitting is rated for fully interior, dry locations only — not suitable for bathrooms or covered outdoor spaces.

The Elstead Christina Chandelier is a 5-light decorative chandelier designed and manufactured by Elstead in England. It features five scrolled metal arms extending from a central hub, finished in a hand-applied silver and gold patina that gives each piece a distinctive, slightly aged multi-tonal character. Cut glass sconces (bobeches) crown each lamp holder, and fine crystal teardrop pendants are suspended from the arms and central junction to catch and refract ambient light. Small leaf-motif details are integrated into the scrollwork, adding a layer of quiet craftsmanship that rewards closer attention.

The Christina is a fitting that suits formal interiors, traditional schemes, and spaces where a touch of period elegance is the brief — without veering into the overtly theatrical. Its convertible design allows it to be installed either as a hanging chandelier on its chain-link suspension or reconfigured as a semi-flush mount, making it a practical choice where ceiling heights are more modest. Candle-style bulbs with a flame-shaped tip are the intended lamp format, maintaining the classical silhouette.

This fitting carries an IP20 rating, suitable for dry interior rooms only. The chain suspension allows for height adjustment at installation. Lamps are not included; check your preferred candle bulb type (E14 small Edison screw is typical for fittings in this style) before ordering. The fitting comes with a 2-year manufacturer's warranty from Elstead.
