FAQs

Can the Pixo be painted to match my ceiling?

Yes. The plaster or ceramic construction gives the Pixo a smooth, paintable surface that accepts standard emulsion paint, allowing it to blend seamlessly with the surrounding ceiling once installed and decorated.

What does CRI 92 mean and why does it matter?

CRI stands for Colour Rendering Index — a measure of how accurately a light source reproduces colours compared to natural daylight. A CRI of 92 is high, meaning fabrics, finishes, and surfaces will appear true to colour rather than washed out or shifted.

Is the Pixo suitable for bathroom installation?

No. The Pixo carries an IP20 rating, which means it is only suitable for dry interior locations — areas with no exposure to moisture or water ingress. For bathrooms, you would need a fitting rated IP44 or higher depending on the zone.

When does the Pixo need to be installed during a build or renovation?

Because it is a plaster-integrated fitting, the Pixo must be built into the ceiling structure during the first-fix stage — before plastering or boarding is completed. Planning the lamp and driver infrastructure at this point is essential to avoid costly remedial work later.

Is a driver or lamp included with the Pixo?

Driver and lamp inclusion should be confirmed at the point of specification, as this can vary by variant. We recommend clarifying your dimming method and control system requirements before ordering so that compatible components can be specified alongside the fitting.
