Brick In The Wall Pixo Double Recessed Downlight

One of the most common frustrations in ceiling design is the visible fixture — the light source that draws the eye when it should disappear. Twin downlights compound the problem: two separate cut-outs, two visible trims, and twice the coordination headache. The Pixo Double is designed to solve exactly this.

Recessed plaster downlights integrate into a ceiling by becoming part of it — literally. Once installed and painted, the fixture boundary dissolves. The deep-set apertures do the work of hiding the light source, reducing direct glare and improving visual comfort in the space below. CRI, or Colour Rendering Index, measures how accurately a light source reveals colour; at 92, the Pixo Double sits firmly in the high-fidelity tier where finish materials, artwork, and skin tones are rendered as they should be.

The Brick In The Wall Pixo Double Recessed Downlight houses two independent light sources within a single rectangular plaster or ceramic frame, delivering dual-beam directional downlighting from one installation point. Its slim bevelled perimeter and smooth, seamless face make it a natural fit for clean contemporary interiors where the architecture is the feature. With an IP54 rating — protection against dust ingress and water splashing from any direction — it is suitable for use in bathrooms and other wet-area environments where moisture management is a real specification concern.

The Pixo Double presents a linear twin-aperture format that offers a considered architectural alternative to a pair of standard circular downlights. The plaster and ceramic construction accepts standard emulsion paint, meaning the fixture can be colour-matched precisely to any ceiling tone — white, tinted, or otherwise. With 10 variants available, there are options to suit a range of lamp types and configurations; contact Lightsource Mallorca for variant-specific guidance.

As a plaster recessed fitting, the Pixo Double requires careful coordination at the rough-in stage — frame-in dimensions, recess depth, and ceiling substrate compatibility all need to be confirmed before plastering. Lamp type, driver requirements, and dimming compatibility depend on the specific variant selected. IP54 compliance must be maintained through correct installation practice and appropriate driver placement. These are the details worth resolving before the plasterers arrive rather than after.

At Lightsource Mallorca, we work with products like the Pixo Double precisely because specification decisions made early save significant cost and rework later. Getting the cut-out, driver, and dimming chain right the first time is value engineering in practice — and it is what we are here to support, from initial selection through to installation confidence.
