The Lighting
The Volkswagen Showroom at no.1 Boucher Way, Belfast, is the first to showcase the companies new global branding. We are proud to say that we were involved in the project from conception to completion and delivered a lighting scheme to one of the worlds largest motor manufacturers.
We followed the VW design guide in terms of light energy efficiency, light levels, CRI & colour temperature, however, we implemented linear strips of light for a clean and modern look, rather than the specified ‘high bay’ lighting.
The project consists of clean, straight lines of light in the main showroom space. We have used 4000k and opal diffused fittings to provide a crisp, high quality and even spread of ambient light across the showroom floor. Powerful spotlights have been carefully positioned within the main showroom space to highlight the cars on display and increase the overall light level in these important areas.
Areas with single height ceilings have been supplied with high quality, energy efficient LED downlights and the in house areas with highly efficient LED panels. We have also added accent lighting with LED strip in areas of architectural interest, such as the back wall of the client meeting area.
