The Project
This ambitious private client came to Lightsource Studio seeking help with their modern new build home. Residential lighting specialist, Marga, was engaged early in the project to provide an expert opinion on the architectural and decorative lighting for the project. Clean, modern lines were the over-arching theme for the project. Marga made sure to suggest subtle yet effective lighting solutions for all areas of the home, while taking personal preferences into consideration throughout the process. It is safe to say that our client is delighted with the end results and so are we!
The Lighting
Throughout the home, Wever & Ducre Sneak 1.0 and 2.0 downlights have been used. The plaster-in capability and sleek design of these downlights were perfect for the clean and modern lines you can see throughout the home. The black versions have been used in the main living area to add some contrast to the crisp white ceiling.
The feature pendant above the dining table is the Palma by Vibia which uniquely plays home to some lovely greenery to tie in with the rest of the downstairs. The large wall light in the entrance area is also by Vibia.
Recessed cornice lighting has been installed throughout the home, creating atmosphere and accent in important places. Simple bedside reader lights from Astro and Vibia have been used to allow for reading into the small hours in each bedroom.
