Client Description
The Friend at Hand can be found in the heart of Belfast’s Cathedral Quarter. This new whiskey off-licence, mini-museum and tasting room is a must see for whiskey lovers around the world. Journey through the history of whiskey distilling in Northern Ireland and browse rare bottles and artefacts related to the industry in the beautifully crafted mini-museum. Whiskey experts are on hand to help you select the perfect tipple before guiding you round the main room.
The Project
We were brought on board by a local interior designer to provide the lighting solution for this project, having successfully collaborated on Willie’s previous projects.
The Lighting
We created an inviting atmosphere in the museum by using warm tones that echoed the clients’ other locations, making them feel right at home. We enhanced the space with Intra Lighting pipes downlights featuring a gold finish, adding a touch of elegance. Our unobtrusive micro track lighting above the tasting bar provided gentle illumination without being intrusive.
