What makes the Luna different from a standard uplight?
Most ground uplights project light vertically. The Luna is engineered with a deliberately angled beam axis — it throws light diagonally and wide, so it evenly illuminates tall vertical surfaces like hedges, fences, and walls from base to top, rather than creating a bright hotspot at the bottom.

Can the Luna be installed in a driveway or area with vehicle access?
Yes. The Luna is drive-over rated, meaning it is designed to withstand the load of vehicles passing over it. This makes it suitable for installation in driveways, forecourts, and other hard-landscaped surfaces where foot and vehicle traffic is expected.

Can I install the Luna in grass, gravel, or soil?
The Luna is designed for in-ground recessed installation, which typically requires a pre-drilled hole in a hard surface. For loose substrates such as earth, gravel, or grass, In-Lite's SPIKE accessory allows the Luna to be mounted on a ground stake without coring. The Luna is not compatible with the In-Lite BOX 100 accessory.

What finishes is the Luna available in?
The Luna is available in three finishes: Black, Pearl Grey, and Stainless Steel. Each is designed to blend into a range of hard landscaping materials and surface colours when the light is not in use.

Does the Luna include a driver or transformer?
The Luna operates within the In-Lite low-voltage outdoor lighting ecosystem. A compatible In-Lite transformer is required and should be specified separately. If you're unsure which transformer suits your layout and the number of fixtures planned, we can help you work that out before you order.
