What does IP44 mean and where can I install the Ripley?
IP44 means the fitting is protected against small solid particles and water splashing from any direction. It is suitable for covered or semi-exposed exterior positions — entrance porches, loggia walls, and sheltered terraces — but should not be installed where it will receive direct, sustained rainfall without overhead protection.

Does the Ripley come with a bulb included?
Bulbs are not included with the Ripley. You will need to select an appropriate lamp separately — we recommend checking the fitting's maximum wattage and choosing a colour temperature that suits your intended atmosphere. Warm white (2700K) works well for entrance and facade lighting.

Which finish and size should I choose?
The Ripley is available in Black or Old Bronze, and in Small or Medium. Black suits contemporary, industrial, or minimal schemes. Old Bronze pairs well with traditional, rustic, or warm-toned exteriors. Size choice should reflect the scale of the wall surface — a larger facade generally benefits from the Medium version.

No — IP44 is not sufficient for bathroom zones 0 or 1, which require IP65 or higher. The Ripley is designed for exterior use in sheltered outdoor positions, not wet indoor environments.
