What does IP54 mean, and which bathroom zones is the Pixo suitable for?
IP54 means the fitting is protected against limited dust ingress and water splashing from any direction. This makes it suitable for bathroom Zone 2 and general areas outside the immediate shower or bath spray zone. Always confirm zone placement with your installer or electrician.

Can the Pixo Bathroom Downlight be painted to match my ceiling?
Yes. The plaster or ceramic construction means the surface can be painted, allowing the fitting to integrate seamlessly with a plastered or painted ceiling. Use a suitable water-based paint and avoid blocking any ventilation around the light source.

Does the Pixo require a ceiling cut-out for installation?
No. The Pixo is surface-mounted, meaning it fixes directly onto a flat ceiling surface. No recessing or cut-out is needed, which simplifies installation and makes it suitable for solid ceilings where recessing is not possible.

Is a driver or lamp included with the Pixo?

Can the Pixo be used in a shower enclosure?
IP54 is not rated for direct water jets or immersion, so the Pixo is not suitable for Zone 0 (inside the bath or shower tray) or Zone 1 (directly above the bath or shower). For those locations, an IP65 or higher fitting is required. The Pixo is well suited to Zone 2 and general bathroom areas.
