FAQs

What finishes is the Henley Task Lamp available in?
The Henley is available in Antique Brass and Bronze. Both are hand-applied living finishes, meaning they carry subtle natural variation from piece to piece — consistent with the Signature Collection's bespoke-quality approach.

Does the Henley Task Lamp provide only downward task light?
No — and that is one of its distinguishing features. In addition to downward task illumination, a textured glass lens set into the top of the drum shade distributes a secondary upward ambient glow, reducing harsh contrast between the lamp and the surrounding space.

Is the Henley suitable for use in a bathroom or outdoor area?
No. The Henley carries an IP20 rating, which means it is designed for dry indoor use only — desks, side tables, consoles, and studies. It is not suitable for bathrooms, covered terraces, or any area where moisture may be present.

What lamp type does the Henley Task Lamp use?
Lamp type should be confirmed at the point of specification. Visual Comfort Signature Collection table lamps are typically designed for standard E-type (Edison screw) bulbs. We recommend confirming the correct lamp before purchasing to avoid compatibility issues.

Who designed the Henley Task Lamp?
The Henley was designed by Thomas O'Brien, one of the most recognised names in American interior and product design. He has collaborated with Visual Comfort for many years, and the Henley reflects his consistent approach: precision detailing, warm material choices, and timeless functional form.
