Elegir un colgante protagonista para una larga mesa de comedor o una isla de cocina no es una decisión sencilla. La luminaria debe anclar el espacio visualmente, distribuir suficiente luz a lo largo de toda su longitud y transmitir intencionalidad, no parecer un elemento añadido a última hora. Si las proporciones o el estilo no son los correctos, se nota cada vez que uno se sienta a comer.

Para recorridos lineales como islas o mesas rectangulares, los colgantes con múltiples fuentes son la mejor opción porque distribuyen la luz de forma uniforme en lugar de depender de un único punto central. El número de fuentes de luz, la separación entre ellas y la longitud total de la luminaria deben corresponderse con la superficie que hay debajo. La elección de las bombillas también es relevante: las de filamento visto o las de tipo Edison tienen tanto una función visual como una función práctica, por lo que forman parte del diseño, no solo de la ficha técnica.

El Quintiesse Ludlow Colgante Lineal está diseñado precisamente para este tipo de espacios. Su disposición lineal de ocho módulos alberga ocho portalámparas E27, cada uno enmarcado en un bloque de acero rectangular con una apertura circular de corte preciso, lo que crea una interrelación de formas geométricas que Quintiesse describe como una referencia tanto al carácter industrial como a la proporción arquitectónica palladiana. La luminaria está disponible en Níquel Pulido o Grafito Cepillado, suspendida sobre dos varillas rígidas, con seis varillas de distintas longitudes incluidas para personalizar la altura de instalación.

La estética del Ludlow puede definirse como industrial-chic: los marcos rectangulares escalonados a lo largo de una barra horizontal central crean una sensación de profundidad y ritmo que confiere a la luminaria un carácter arquitectónico más que decorativo. Se adapta a ambientes interiores con carácter — materiales vistos, cocinas abiertas, espacios de comedor con altura — y se complementa especialmente bien con bombillas de filamento tipo Edison, que completan la composición visual a través de los recortes circulares.

El Ludlow admite 8 bombillas E27 de hasta 60 W cada una, o sus equivalentes LED. Las bombillas no están incluidas. Se recomiendan bombillas de filamento tipo Edison para complementar el diseño. La luminaria es regulable cuando se combina con un regulador adecuado, que no se incluye. No cuenta con clasificación IP indicada, por lo que está destinada únicamente a interiores secos. La altura de instalación es ajustable mediante las seis varillas incluidas en distintos tamaños.

Is the Quintiesse Ludlow dimmable?

Yes — the Ludlow is dimmable when used with a compatible dimmer switch, which is not included. Not all dimmers work with all lamps, so once you've chosen your E27 bulbs, it's worth confirming the dimmer is rated for that lamp type. We can help you match the two correctly.

What bulbs does the Ludlow take, and are they included?

The Ludlow takes 8 x E27 lamps, each up to 60W, or LED equivalents. Bulbs are not included. Quintiesse recommends Edison-style filament bulbs, and we'd echo that — they're visible through the circular cutouts and form a key part of the fixture's look.

Can I adjust the hanging height of the Ludlow?

Yes. The fixture is supplied with six stems in varying sizes, so you can customise the drop to suit your ceiling height and the surface below. This makes it practical for rooms with high ceilings or for precise positioning over a dining table or island.
