FAQs

Are bulbs included with the Bimba ceiling light?
No, bulbs are not included. The Bimba takes three E27 Edison screw base lamps. Because the bulbs are visible through the braided structure, we recommend decorative LED filament bulbs — they contribute to the design rather than detracting from it.

Can I choose the cord colours?
Yes. The Bimba allows you to select one or two cord colours, giving you meaningful control over how the fitting integrates with your interior. The base structure and inner shade are black metal in all versions.

What sizes is the Bimba available in?
The Bimba is available in two sizes: Small and Large. If you are unsure which suits your space, get in touch — ceiling height, room dimensions, and table or furniture scale all factor into the right choice.

Does the Bimba need a driver or transformer?
No driver or transformer is needed. E27 is a standard mains-voltage lamp fitting, so it connects directly to a standard ceiling rose and live feed. No additional components are required.

Can the Bimba be used in a bathroom or outdoor space?
No. The Bimba has no stated IP rating, which means it is rated for dry interior use only. It should not be installed in bathrooms, kitchens above steam sources, or any outdoor or semi-exposed location.
