How does the asymmetric beam actually work?
The BIG FLUX ASYMMETRIC uses an asymmetric lens that produces two different beam shapes depending on how the fixture is oriented. Point it one way and you get a wide 65° fan beam; rotate it 90° and it produces a tight 18° narrow stripe. Both orientations deliver a 6-metre light range. No additional parts required — the optic does the work.

Can this ground light be installed in soil or gravel?
Yes. The BIG FLUX ASYMMETRIC is compatible with the In-Lite SPIKE accessory, which is a ground stake that allows you to place the fixture directly into loose substrates such as earth, gravel, or grass without any hard-surface installation.

Is it suitable for flush installation in a patio or decking?
Yes. The BIG FLUX ASYMMETRIC is compatible with the In-Lite BOX-1 accessory, which enables flush, recessed installation into hard surfaces. It is also surmountable, meaning it can safely withstand pedestrian foot traffic when installed flush to the ground.

What finishes are available?
The anodised aluminium ring is available in three finishes: Black, Pearl Grey, and Stainless Steel. Each offers a different visual character — Black sits discretely in dark hardscaping, Pearl Grey works well with lighter stone or concrete, and Stainless Steel suits contemporary or coastal schemes.

Is the BIG FLUX ASYMMETRIC part of a wider range?
Yes. It sits within the In-Lite FLUX family, which includes FLUX, BIG FLUX, BIG FLUX NARROW, and SMART FLUX TONE — the latter being a dimmable, colour-capable variant. This makes it straightforward to mix beam types across a single landscape scheme while maintaining a consistent fixture aesthetic.
