Can the In-Lite Ace Up-Down be used with an In-Lite HUB or SMART HUB transformer?
No. The Ace Up-Down connects directly to a 230V mains supply and is not compatible with In-Lite's low-voltage HUB or SMART HUB transformer systems. A qualified electrician is required for installation.

What does IP55 mean, and is this fitting suitable for exposed outdoor positions?
IP55 means the fitting is protected against dust ingress and low-pressure water jets from any direction. This makes it suitable for exterior wall positions on facades, garages, outbuildings, and garden walls in exposed locations.

How do I adjust the width of the up and down beams?
Beam width can be controlled using the SHUTTER 2 accessory, which is sold separately. This allows you to narrow or widen the spread of both the upward and downward beams to suit your specific facade or wall.

What finishes are available for the Ace Up-Down?
The Ace Up-Down is available in four finishes: Dark Grey, White, Rosé Silver, and Corten. Corten develops a weathered patina over time and suits natural or industrial facade materials particularly well.

What is the CRI of this fitting, and why does it matter?
The Ace Up-Down has a CRI of 92. CRI — Colour Rendering Index — measures how accurately a light source renders colours compared to natural daylight, where 100 is perfect. A CRI of 92 is high, meaning stonework, render, timber, and planting are all shown in their true colours rather than appearing washed out or shifted.
