What does IP44 mean and where can I install the Lyndon?
IP44 means the fitting is protected against small solid particles and water splashing from any direction. It's suitable for covered outdoor walls, sheltered entryways, and patio positions — but not for locations with direct, sustained rainfall or jet-wash exposure.

Is a lamp or bulb included with the Lyndon?
No, a lamp is not included. The Lyndon is designed around a filament-style E27 bulb — that's a standard screw-cap fitting. This lets you choose the colour temperature and wattage to suit your preference. A warm white filament bulb (around 2200–2700K) will complement the seeded glass best.

Can I dim the Lyndon outdoor wall light?
Dimming depends on the lamp you install. If you fit a dimmable E27 LED or filament bulb and connect it to a compatible dimmer switch, the fitting itself presents no barrier to dimming. Always confirm the bulb is marked as dimmable and that your dimmer is rated for LED loads.

What finishes are available for the Elstead Lyndon?

Is the Lyndon hardwired or plug-in?
The Lyndon is a hardwired fitting, meaning it connects directly to your mains electrical supply via the wall backplate. It is not a plug-in product. Installation should be carried out by a qualified electrician, particularly for outdoor locations where local regulations may apply.
