What type of bulbs does the Christina wall light take?
The Christina is designed for two flame-shaped candle bulbs, mounted vertically in the candle-style socket sleeves. Bulb type — LED or traditional — is not fixed by the fixture, giving you flexibility. We can advise on the right lamp to suit your dimming setup and desired colour warmth.

Is the Christina compatible with a dimmer switch?
Dimmer compatibility depends on the bulb you choose rather than the fixture itself. LED candle bulbs often require a leading-edge or trailing-edge dimmer (types of dimmer that control the flow of power differently) — pairing the wrong dimmer with an LED can cause flickering. We're happy to recommend a compatible combination for your project.

What does the hand-applied patina finish involve?
The silver and gold patina is applied by hand during manufacturing at Elstead's UK facility. This process creates a layered, distressed texture with natural tonal variation — no two fixtures are identical. It gives the Christina its antiqued, collected quality rather than a uniform painted appearance.

Is the Christina suitable for bathroom installation?
The Christina carries no IP rating in its specification, which means it is not rated for use in wet or splash-prone zones. It is suitable for dry interior spaces such as hallways, bedrooms, living rooms, and dining areas — but should not be installed in bathrooms without consulting zone requirements with a qualified electrician.

What warranty does the Christina carry?
The Elstead Christina is covered by a 2-year manufacturer's warranty as standard.
