What does IP44 mean and where can I install the Chicago?
IP44 means the fitting is protected against solid particles over 1mm and against water splashing from any direction. It's well suited to covered entrances, porches, and sheltered perimeter walls. For fully exposed positions with direct rain, a higher IP rating (IP65 or above) would be the safer specification.

Which sizes are available and how do I choose?
The Chicago comes in Small and Medium. As a general guide, match the lantern height to roughly one third of the door or wall height it sits beside. If you're unsure, bring us your wall dimensions and we'll help you decide.

Is a lamp included?
No — the Chicago is supplied without a lamp. Check the product data sheet for supported lamp types and maximum wattage. We'd recommend an LED candle or golf ball bulb for longevity; pay attention to colour temperature (2700K gives the warmest, most welcoming result with this style of fitting).

Does the Chicago need a driver or transformer?
No. This is a direct mains-voltage fitting, so no external driver or transformer is required. It connects to a standard 230V supply via the backplate.

What is the warranty on the Elstead Chicago?
Elstead provides a 3-year manufacturer's warranty on the Chicago range, covering defects in materials and workmanship under normal use conditions.
