visual-comfort-vendome-double-sconce
Visual Comfort Vendome Double Wall Sconce

Choosing a decorative wall sconce often comes down to one anxious question: will it feel right in the space, or just look good in a photograph? Scale, finish authenticity, and the quality of light diffusion all matter — and they're hard to judge from a screen alone. This is where specification experience genuinely helps.

For a piece like this, what counts is the relationship between the metal frame, the shade material, and the quality of the ambient light they produce together. Empire-shaped fabric or parchment shades diffuse light softly upward, creating warmth and atmosphere rather than a hard directional beam. The finish — how it's applied, how it ages — determines whether the piece reads as considered or merely decorative.

The Visual Comfort Vendome Double Wall Sconce is part of the brand's Signature Collection, designed by Thomas O'Brien and produced with hand-applied living finishes and premium craftsmanship. Two slender arms extend horizontally from a stepped circular backplate before turning upward to support a pair of white tapered empire shades. The result is a clean, architectural silhouette with unmistakably classic proportions — confident without being loud. It carries an IP22 rating, meaning it is suitable for indoor environments protected from direct water contact.

The Vendome Double is available in three finishes: Bronze, Hand-Rubbed Antique Brass, and Polished Nickel. Each finish is hand-applied, meaning subtle variation is part of the character rather than a flaw — the kind of detail that distinguishes a specification piece from a catalogue purchase.

This is a hardwired wall sconce intended for permanent installation. As a lamped fitting, bulb type and dimming compatibility will depend on the lamp you select — your electrician or lighting consultant can advise on the right choice for your circuit and dimmer switch. The IP22 rating confirms suitability for general indoor use, away from direct moisture exposure.

At Lightsource Mallorca, we work with products like the Vendome Double precisely because they bridge creative intent and real-world specification. We can advise on finish selection relative to your scheme, confirm lead times, and coordinate delivery as part of a wider project — so the right piece arrives at the right moment, without last-minute surprises.
