sikrea-liam-co-pendant
Sikrea Liam Pendant Light

Choosing a pendant for a design-led interior is rarely just about light output — it's about whether the fitting holds its own as a sculptural object when the lights are off, and delivers meaningful illumination when they're on. Get that balance wrong and you have either a dim curiosity or a forgettable commodity.

For interior pendant specification, two things matter most: the quality of light the fitting produces, and whether the form genuinely earns its place in the space. CRI — Colour Rendering Index — is a measure of how accurately a light source reveals colours compared to natural daylight. A CRI of 90 and above is considered high-fidelity, making finishes, fabrics, and materials read as intended by the designer.

The Sikrea Liam Pendant Light is a striking interior suspension fitting that resolves both demands. Produced by Italian manufacturer Sikrea, the Liam is defined by its geometric tension: a slender vertical rod intersected by an inclined circular ring at a diagonal, creating a form that reads differently from every angle. Light is emitted from a translucent diffuser integrated into the inner circumference of the ring, and a secondary aperture at the base of the rod provides a downward accent — so the fitting works spatially, not just decoratively. With a CRI of 90, colour rendering is precise and flattering, suitable for residential living and dining spaces as well as hospitality interiors where atmosphere and clarity both matter.

The Liam is designed for modern minimalist interiors where a fitting needs to hold visual weight without adding visual noise. Its slim, monochrome profile and seamless construction give it a high-end architectural quality. It is available in Matt Black or Brushed Brass — two finishes that sit at opposite ends of the material palette, giving specifiers genuine flexibility to match or contrast surrounding surfaces and hardware.

The Liam carries an IP20 rating, confirming it is designed for dry interior use — suitable for living rooms, dining areas, hallways, and feature spaces away from moisture zones. The fitting is suspended via a single thin cable from the ceiling canopy. For specific driver requirements, dimming compatibility, and suspension length, please contact the Lightsource Mallorca team before finalising your specification.

At Lightsource Mallorca, the Sikrea Liam is specified as part of a considered process — matching the right fitting to the right space, with attention to lead times, installation constraints, and how the product coordinates with the broader scheme. Whether you're working through a full project schedule or making a single statement specification, we're here to make sure the decision is sound before anything is ordered.
